

Ashford Ladies 3rd Eleven held their own in a closely fought match against Edenbridge on Saturday, drawing 1-1. The first half saw Edenbridge take the lead with a well-placed goal, leaving Ashford trailing 1-0 at half time.
In the second half, Ashford came back fighting, with Kate Horton scoring an impressive goal to level the score. The Ashford team were determined not to let their opponents take the lead again and put up a strong defence, with player of the match Heidi Osmer and Molly Kershaw both making crucial defensive blocks and interceptions.
Imogen Dunn also put in a strong performance, with her skill and speed on the ball causing problems for the Edenbridge defence. Despite several opportunities for both sides, neither team was able to find the back of the net again and the match ended in a hard-fought draw.
Overall, it was a great performance from the Ashford Ladies 3’s with each player putting in their all to secure the draw. This draw enabled the 3’s to to consolidate their final position of 9th in the table and the squad are looking forward to further improve next season.
