A really sunny, Saturday, lunchtime start. Hungry team at 13:30 push back, regretting not snacking on the way up. Blue sky's, no base layers needed. Ashford's first push back and not looking too bad ball was going between both teams until New Becs formation started to strengthen left and right back joining mid field supporting the width with short triangle formations. Every new Becs player was good at eliminating an attack, waiting for Ashford to commit and then making a simple pass. 3 short corners for New Becs. Ashford making a couple of good breaks also finding it difficult to get the ball out of defence when New Becs mid field line was increased with their defence. The 2-5-3 formation was difficult for Ashford to get through a 2-0 to New Becs at half time. A great help to Ashford in the second half with the encouraging voice of Kirstie Rogers. Lots of fantastic saves from player of the match Tamsin through out the game. A better second half battle from Ashford. resulting in a 3-0 loss, back to the drawing board with a positive team mindset who laughed their way home after enjoying the match teas.
